Hey guys, i was wondering if it is possible to convert a 2g eclipse into a gsx with the drivetrain motor tranny, from a 90 gsx.....how difficult if possible? Thanks

If you do a search for AWD Conversion. You will find many topics about it.
If you plan on doing AWD conversion you need a 2g donor to match. 1g donor is useless you might have very few parts you can use but the best thing to do is find a 2g donor. Here is a link about awd conversion discussion about using 1g awd on a 2g.

Are you saying you'd want to put the engine and drivetrain in a n/t 2g or a 2g turbo?

Well i just bought a 90 gsx and i like the body style of the 2gs....either or as long as i can get it into a 2g, there are a few shells at the junkyard, but im not gonna do anything untill i find out everything that i can....would putting a fuel cell in the trunk and taking the gas tank out make it easier? or am i way off the mark? Thanks...

when doing this swap im planning on conv to a 6 bolt too and with mid-high hp i hope, anyways when doing this swap do you need to build up anything else other than the chass, motor,trans and suspention? i have seen everyone with their gsx mention all the engine mods and nothing else... just wondering if you need a different drive shaft and built axles?
