Hello I was wonderning is this my vss because my speedo doesn't work but if this is the vss it in all the way so y is my speedo not working ??????

Yes, that's the vss. Take it out and see if the actual spinning part, its flat on one side "keyed", so it rotates with its female counter part didn't break off inside and its not actually transferring movement to the speedo in the back of the gauge cluster. If its not broken, then go and check for the same thing in the back of the gauge cluster. Make sure that they're both installed properly, easy to check, and to replace, if broken get one from jnz tuning.

Both the cable and the speedo drive gear are broken in the above pictures.

The cable is a definite, the speedo gear assembly itself is either broken or you need to remove the whole thing and reset the clip that holds the gear in the housing (the whole thing comes out, not just that center section).

Cable is likely toast, but it doesnt always break at the transmission side of things. Pull the gauge cluster and see if the plastic rod on the end of the cable that goes into the speedometer is broken off as well. By the way, the VSS is incorporated into the speedometer itself in the form of a reed switch which is driven by the cable on a 1G car.

The speedo gear and shaft are intact in the housing like they should be. What you are seeing in the pic is just the end of the cable and that has came apart.
