So, just bought some 510cc injectors and a fuel pump rewire kit... I will be adding a 2g MAS, and I have a boost controller.

Only engine mods are: tubular dump O2 housing, Evo 3 ex-manifold (ported + EGT), flex back exhaust....

I need to start logging, as I would prefer NOT to detonate my motor

Has anyone had any experience with these cables, or something similar?

I will likely be using my laptop with a db9 -> USB adapter (ECMlink site has the known working ones with the DSM baud-rate)

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks

Likely using MMCD etc.

Isnt MMCD free to download?

OK, I just bought a cheap ass ebay ($5 shipped) DB9 to serial adapter... Ill repost when I find out if it works!

i actualy bought the one posted in the picture there, a decent amount of money for a cable but it has plenty of legth, great connections, and works great. im not worried about breaking it or anything like that

I'm also very interested in this cable (looks exactly like the one treckin posted earlier), but I don't know if it will work for my car.

My DSM is a 1990 Laser, but the link above only says for 91-94 DSM Talon Eclipse (I don't know if the year and model omissions were intentional or not). I also read the 3rd post in the thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/262253-data-logger-cable.html that the auto-on feature can be problematic with 1990 models due to differences in the electrical system.

I've been trying to contact the seller for 3 days now to verify if it could work for me, but he hasn't responded yet. :banghead:

So has anyone with a 1990 model ordered or tried this cable with success, or can anyone tell me if this particular cable would work on my 1990 DSM?
