Is This Exhaust Worth $500.00

It's worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. If it was me I wouldn't buy it, but I'm probably biased because I made one for $150 dollars.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. Personaly, I think stainless steel is stainless steel. I bought a MR downpipe & MR muffler and had a muffler shop fab up a 3in catback exhaust for a total of $339 for everything..

Are you saying that Thermal R&D is not a name brand? WTF I know the they are nice products, so I guess my question is would I be able to find these products, new or used, for less? Oh ya, thanks for the quick replies:thumb:

Personally, I'm biased to the Thermal R&D name.

Assuming that the seller originally bought these products brand new, and there is no serious damage or issues with the products, then I would deem this a fair deal. You're saving yourself at least $100 (probably more than that) with this offer.

However, you can get a full 3" custom exhaust made at your local exhaust shop for about half that price.

But let's face it. If you really want a Thermal exhaust, then this is a deal. Additionally, whatever exhaust system you choose, it's probably going to get dirty. So what if it isn't nice and shiny and pretty? Unless you only drive the car in the best weather conditions, or your car is a trailor queen, this is what your exhaust system will look like over time. There's no denying that fact.

One more thing - in the picture the seller supplied, it is hard to tell, but the Thermal B-pipe is known for the neck-down section (where the pipe would usually bolt up to an OEM catalytic converter). Ask the seller to send you a couple photos of this specific area of the exhaust system. If the neck-down is still there, and you decide to make the purchase, you may want to bring the B-pipe down to your local trusted exhaust shop and have them weld on a 3" section to compliment the rest of the pipe. You should do that before bolting on the exhaust system. Why? Because it seems to be simply easier to me to do it that way, and because some exhaust shops will not touch your exhaust system without a catalytic converter on it. That's why.

You can get a Tsudo/X tune exhaust brand new from ebay for less then $150. A pipe is a pipe.

If you've got friends, you can get the same exhaust from them for a lot cheaper than that. If you hurry you can drive down here and pick one up for cheeap. :p
