Is this engine worth buying and is everything included?

Hi, I have a 97 eclipse gs-t with a catback exhaust, s16gturbo, uicp w/1g bov... My tranny needs to be replaced and I thought this may be time to replace my 104K mile engine with a 1g. This ebay engine with tranny and ecu caught my eye and I was wondering if it was worth buying and if i need anything else to give to my mechanic to put it in??? any suggestions would really help me out

No bad buys for both of 'em.

Why:

1. Being '94 blocks they are both seven bolts, ie the same thing you have now so you wouldn't be escaping crank walk.

2. They're used and won't have much fewer miles than your current one. No improvement.

3. The cost of rebuilding your engine and tranny may well be LESS than what those will cost.

4. By rebuilding you know what condiion everything is in: new.

5. You are better off spending your money on better-than-factory parts for the tranny instead of just buying another used one. Do it right the first time.

6. If you really want a 6-bolt 1st gen motor, go buy a short block and build it. Again, do it right the 1st time. If your car is running good now and you are on a tight budget, wait and do it later.

7. You'll want to keep your 2nd gen head anyhow. You'd be buying a lot of extra parts you don't need and that are a hessle to resell (ask me how I know.)

I did my JDM swap for one simple reason: I'm a dirt ass poor college student and I got the whole thing for $850 plus selling my old long block to recoupe some cash. I wish I could have just rebuilt and saved a ton of hassle.
