So I bought this shell a while ago and don’t see how I missed this. As I am getting the car ready for to have the motor installed I noticed underneath the car was a bent up specifically on the side trim where you would normally put side skirts is this fixable?

as long as the frame rails aren't bent up you should be okay.

if it looks like this, its a problem

Then I have a problem 🥺🥺🥺. They are bent up I talked to the guy helping me with my motor and he said he can fix the areas for me when he seals the two small rust spots I noticed in the engine bay. I just don’t see how it got like that.

I don’t see why it couldn’t be repaired. Are you asking if you can repair that at home?
Well the rails are bent too I just couldn’t get a good angle to get them in the picture. Hoping I don’t damage it more when I jack it up today. To take the wheels off and put the new ones on.

Looks like a forklift picked it up 👎
I hope not if so then I only paid $300 for the shell most of my money is in the motor itself about $7k in parts labor and a built transmission. Could alway try and find a new shell to use. Was told by the guy helping on this build he could fix it hoping so if not I’ll save for a new shell

if your gonna try and fix the frame rails you probably want a copy of the body repair manual.
i have it on mediafire, here is a link if wanna DL it.
