I swapped those two vacuum lines today because they just looked wrong, what is that sensor they go to? And yes the clear looking vacuum is my boost gauge.

It's correct in the picture. You want to tap into the hose between the manifold and the FPS. Here's the original vacuum diagram that illustrates how the lines would run to the solenoid -- just like you've shown.

What if your line doesn't go to the solenoid? I think my boost gauge connects to a T and one goes to the gauge, one to the mani, and one to the AFPR.
 
It's pretty common sense that if you remove the solenoid from the equation, the boost gauge will lie between the manifold and FPR, as you've stated. ;)

If you've done a vacuum reduction/emissions delete, anywhere between the manifold and FPR is fine.
