FPR Install - YouTube

Installed my Aeromotive fpr tonight and just wanted to make sure everything looked all set, I didn't see any fuel leaks or anything but was unsure about how the gauge looked and the needle bouncing everywhere or if it was to stay fairly still? I read in a thread it's suppose to be 43.5 when youre holding it against your thumb and then drop to about 38 when the gauge is pulling the vacuum and wanted to make mine was correct? I tried adjusting the screw on the top with the allen wrench but it wouldn't budge.

Thanks for the help

yup, about 43psi with no vac lines hooked up. Depending on your cams, and condition of your engine and any air leaks the fuel pressure will drop a varying amount with vac hose connected. Your in the ballpark at 38psi idle though. Sounds good to me.

^Agreed.

Did you loosen the lock nut first?

I did and it still wouldn't budge so I figured I'd post first and see if I had to go out and adjust it, glad everything checked out though was just curious if the needle was suppose to be jumping around that much.

Thanks for the responses

Iirc the fuel psi at idle shouldnt be jumping too much. Should be pretty steady. I mean as long as its not fluctuating more than a couple psi or so youre good to go. I set mine and then removed the gauge and plugged the fitting just to clean the engine bay up a bit. Every now n then i plug the gauge back up to see what its up to at idle and make sure all is well.
