Installed the NGR Type-S BOV and even on the softest setting (this is a Greddy Type-S clone) I get some type of noise, not sure if it is normal or surge or flutter or what.

The valve opens fast, from what I can tell. As soon as I let off the gas it sounds kind of like a double "blow off" and then the whistle. Kind of a "backaTSSS" sound. Even at low boost and 10+ psi. Can't notice it much at full boost (15psi) because the O2 dump is pretty much all I can hear besides the whistle.

I took some videos in the car but I can't really tell if the sound is good quality on my laptop. You can hear the "double blow off" I'm talking about if you listen closely....if you have good speakers you can probably hear everything. I can't hear the whistle in the videos but yea. Anyways, it DOES NOT sound like videos I found of surge/flutter on Youtube. It's not a "woowoowooo" sound and sounds nothing like the compressor surge from anybody's videos so I'm not sure if it is just the way it is supposed to sound or what.

My BOV has NEVER been hooked up to my MBC or vice versa. The BOV has a line of its own right off the IM. The MBC runs off of the J-pipe and to the WGA.

Like I said this DOES NOT sound like the "wowowowowo" gobble gobble sound that everyone else has. It's just a fast "double blow off" followed by the whistle....like a "buckaTSS" sound.

i cant really hear anything from the vids but, i have a b16g and a crushed 1g bov and i have my setup on 21psi, under very very low boost like 1 or 2 pounds mine flutters after 2 pounds it sounds normal. im not sure if this is how yours is but my car runs like a champ.

Not really sure on the noise (couldn't really hear it on laptop) but I did notice you have a Prosport gauge that is amber in the 1st vid and white in the second. Had you turned on the headlights or something between videos or is the gauge sometimes amber sometimes white. I ask because mine does this. I followed the instructions but my gauge is almost always white when I'd rather have it amber to match the stock gauges. Occasionally when I turn the car on the gauge is amber. I wish it would stay that way.

Man that Prosport is a POS. I called Mach V the SAME DAY I installed it telling them I want another because it's defective and they said no. I wired the AMBER into my dimmer switch and the WHITE into key on power. But it'll switch from amber to white whenever the hell it wants. You're not the only one.

On the sound of the BOV, the camera didn't pick it up worth a shit so, I'm workin on gettin another video.

I have a turboxs bov and it sounds like the devil sneezing. Lol. Most likely it is just the way it sounds. Try setting it a little harder and see what it does. Mine will flutter at certain boost levels on soft setting but isn't compressor surge. Good luck and get those vids up when you get a chance.

sounds fine to me. its just how the bov sounds, they all sound different.

my greddy type rs sounds like that.
