I just installed megan racing coilovers on my 1g. I have no rear camber adjustment but i noticed the rears are slanted a fair bit. Is this normal? Im not sure if you can tell from the pics but it looks susbtantial when youre standing behind the car.

Sorry my phone just posted this thread 3 times without any pictures. I cant figure out how to delete a thread either. In the mean time, heres the pictures:

Doesnt look too bad. I know you want anywhere from 1-2 dregees of negative camber. I suggest going to get it aligned and getting all four corners somewhere between 1-2 negative degress.

It looks to me like its more than 1-2 degrees. My fronts are at 2 degrees and the back looks more aggressive. Should there be any camber change at all when I switch to coil overs? Its definitely more than stock so Im wondering if Ive done something wrong here.

Agreed, I'd be more worried about taking care of the dreaded "active toe" if you haven't. I don't like it when pushing the car around corners, feels unstable. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but Jay's makes a kit and people weld in washers for a reason.:D

Yeah they look like they have a little to much camber....going to need some adjustable upper arms like some Ingalls, or you'll wear those tires out pretty quickly

Yes if they are lowered at all from stock ride height you will need eccentric upper balljoints, or if you can find a set of the SPC adjustible uppers that arent produced anymore. So either get the balljoints, or put the car back up to stock ride height if possible.

It looks similar to my car on kyb struts and eibach springs. Perhaps slightly more camber on yours. To answer your question though, yes it looks normal for a 1g with a substantial drop and no camber adjustment. Like the people above me said, this may cause excessive ball joint and tire wear though.

Thanks for all the info! Can anyone shoot me a link of what I need? Im having a little trouble finding it for the 1G. Also is there any way an alignment shop could correct this?

Back in the day before they made such parts, my friend had his rear upper control arm cut and lengthened to fix his camber. Back then, people would also cut/shorten the lower control arm.

I'm assuming your camber in the front is fine. If not, they sell eccentric bolts that replace the upper strut to knuckle bolt. Alternatively, you can also slot the upper hole on the strut (which is what the alignment shop did on my old 1G, again, before they made such a part).

Looks like im putting the ride height back up until I can afford the ingalls adjuster you linked. The second link will only provide me with 1 degree of adjustment either way so I think Ill need more than that. Thanks for all the help ![DOUBLEPOST=1412099490][/DOUBLEPOST]I found this kit for 2gs :
