I have a stock 1g with free/cheap mods (2-1/2" dp + high flow cat ) and real boost gauge. I was running 14 lbs boost operating under the assumption that stock 450 injectors max out somewhere around 15 lbs or so. I just turned up the boost yesterday and now seeing slightly over 15 lbs in lower to mid rpm range with it bleeding off to slightly under 15 lbs as rpm's climb. Since I only have a real boost gauge with no way to monitor knock (or anything else) am I taking a big chance -or- are stock injectors + fp with re-wire kit most definitely capable of handling this boost? I almost never run it beyond lower 6000 rpm range and under the impression that even if 15-16 lbs is where stock injectors and fp start to max out, it would be in the upper rpm range and no need to worry about those boost levels in sub 6000 rpm range. Is this a correct because I really don't want to damage anything. Thx!
