Langley,
I just bought an Optima battery D34/78. I believe it's rated at 870CA and 750CCA. Is that too much for my car? Can that amperage damage anything at start up? Or will it be fine. I bought it because the guy told me it fits 90% of the cars out there and no one has had a problem with it even though it wasn't the one I wanted, but they didn't have the one I wanted. Living in Canada sucks for parts sometimes.

Anyways, help please.

I have another problem. I can't seem to find a way to connect the positive terminal. the wires get in the way and the connector is too short because the post is set back farther than my other battery. any solutions? I was thinking of using the side posts.

solution, i found a longer connector and now everything works. my next problem is to figure out why I have idle surge.
