is This A Legit 20g

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

"Actual item may vary from picture" this was at the very bottom of that listing.

With a disclaimer like that, it should be a clue someone is trying to sell you something that you do not need. Like anyone is going to sell and $900 turbo for pennies on the dollar I think not. There is an old saying, "You get what you pay for" and I would say that this is one of those examples on what that analogy exactly means.

I don't think they're available anymore. JusMX141 could probably make one from scratch with new parts but any complete MHI 20G will be used.

Do you guys think that site is legit?

Because it's way more expensive here:

There is a difference- DSM turbocharger does not mean MHI turbocharger. If you want the real deal and not a China/eBay part then this is the key acronym you will be looking for. 99% of the time it is safe to assume that a cheap turbo will most likely be a copy. You could still buy and use it if you wanted to, but the failure rates have been well documented.

If you are dead set on a "new" 20g, follow the others advice and look at the Forced Performance offerings. The HTA68 isn't a bad place to start. 16g looks with good flow rates. The FP Green is the next step up. They are all the same price now so it's a "pick your poison" affair.

Other than that you could keep your eyes open for a used unit. A rebuilt turbo is a fine option. Nothing wrong with going that route.

Just think, a rebuilt turbo will be just as clean as a new one for the same amount of time....until you use it ;)
