Is this a front pump problem?

1994 Ecilpse FWD. I have no gears except reverse. After revving the engine feels like a little grab in 1st gear, but not much. Getting tired of driving around in reverse all the time...:laugh: When the weather breaks I plan on pulling the tranny and taking it apart. If not the front pump what else should I be looking for? Never opened up a A/T before, but willing to try. Thanks to all...
