Well, i just had my new greddy v-spec fmic(no upper piping yet), greddy profec b-spec 2, and autometer boost gauge and oil press. gauges installed today, now the boost gauge will go up to about 14 psi and drop back down, isnt it supposed to hold at 14 psi untill i let off the gas? Is this a boost leak? thanks

If you're still on the T25, it's pretty common for boost to fall off towards the upper RPM ranges since the wheel is so small and can't flow enough to sustain high boost levels.

I would still test it though,

Andy

I believe its set at the lowest it can go, it dosent go past 14 psi on my boost gauge. I had it installed at a performance shop and they said to leave it for the weekend and come back on monday and they'll show me how it works(still learning about all this stuff). I also just ordered a evo III 16g and all the fuel mods but i will wait to put it in untill i learn more about turbo cars. One other thing, i floored it on the highway and the boost controller flashed red then flashed back to blue, what does this mean? thanks for the replys

the light that you saw "red" was a warning light when the boost exceeds the set boost pressure with an alarm and messege in the display, when the warning feature is activated, the limiter feature can lower the boost to a safer pressure. you can get this info and more at greddy.com and click on the tech info link then select the PROFEC B SPEC 2 and it will bring up good info from warnings and cautions as well as hooking it up and explaining thier features!
