Is there any solution to damaged trim moldings?

Was using cutting pad and accidentally hit the trim molding. Is there any way to get rid of the gray dull matte scratches and make them black and glossy again? They're extremely noticeable in the light and ugly. Would rather not spend hundreds on replacing it, if it can be helped.

I've used this with good success in restoring faded trim panels. I imagine it would work just the same here
