Is there a trick to getting oil pan off of AWD?

Hey, I was trying to get my oil pan off. Unbolted the exhaust and transaxle, got the pan unbolted but I can't get the @#&$^ off. Any tricks or suggestions?

use a crowbar, or something else to pry it off

When I took mine off my car I put a piece of 2X4 against it and hammered until it came loose. Wasn't too hard. I wouldn't recommend prying at it. It'll warp the pan and the gasket won't seal and you'll leak oil.

hit it from all angles with your hand but dont bend the pan, gently pry if you have to with a thin screwdriver, itll come off eventually

A putty knife or thin chisel will work great. Take a rubber mallet and tap (not too hard, mind you) the chisel or knife between the pan and block from as many angles as you can. When it eventually comes loose, be sure to be patient with it while you're maneuvering the pan over the center crossmember and oil sump. If you're patient, you should have it off in a couple of minutes.

See that's the thing...it is loose - I just cannot for the life of me get that damn thing out. I tried prying, but I'm not too strong so that didn't help out a whole lot. I have the passenger side jacked up, maybe I should jack up the other side too? Is there anything else I might need to unbolt besides the exhaust and transaxle?

I'm so close....yet so far away....

It it's loose, it should come out pretty easily. The crossmember and the oil sump make a little bit of a pain in the ass, but nonetheless, it should come out.

How loose is it? Is it loose enough to where you have an inch or two of play? Or, does it seem like there's still some silicon or bolts holding it on?
