Is the 1995 tsi awd ecu the same as the 1G?

Hey I just got a 1995 eagle talon awd, and i'm looking for a pocketlogger, it says either 1g or obdII which in on 96 and newer?

No there not the same. OBDII started in 95 or 96, and the ECU's for a 1G and 2G arent the same

yes, your vehicle is OBD2. check under the driver's side dash, close to the center console and you will see the diagnostics plug

The OBD II version of Pocketlogger will.

the interface plugs into that port, the cable (serial) connects the PDA to that and the PDA displays what the interface is gathering from the OBD2 system (your ECU).

BTW, i see where you are confused....1996 is when (if im not mistaken) all vehicles manufactured in or for the US were mandatory OBDII. some companies, like Mitsubishi, used the OBDII system in 95. i came across this confusion when i first got my 95 GSX, and alot of your retail parts house employees will argue to their death that your car is NOT OBDII...heh, i love those guys...

that is correct about obd II coming out in 96 some manufactures went to obd II in 95... so if you go to auto zone or any place like that to get your car scanned tell them it is a 96... i know how they are there as my brother is a manager although your car is obd II they will not scan it if it is a 95 just so you know...
