is something leaking from my engine? check out the picture

It's not normal, It's dirty. Looks like you have an oil leak either from the valve cover or from the bolt that would have supplied the oil to a 1g turbo on the end of the head.
I would clean the area up and keep an eye open for where the leak is.

If its coming from the valve cover just replace the gasket. pretty simple. It will most likely be that. Happened to me a while back.
