I've been experiencing a miss, kind of a loopy sound at idle. I though that I might have a boost leak. Well I started doing the test and I have leaks everywhere. I fixed alot of them but I was still having a problem with the boost dropping fastly during the test. I started hearing a puffing sound coming from around the wastegate. I pushed on the wategate and it stopped making the puffing sound. So my question is that normal, or is my wasegate bad? I think this might be my boost leak thats making me have to many HC on my emissions from running rich.

Try disconnecting the vacuum hose to the actuator and blocking the hose off with a screw or something and try another boost leak test. If the sound goes away and pressure holds better consider trying another wastegate actuator.
