Is my transmission done?

Ok yesterday coming off the thruway ramp in my 97 GST i turned right and put it in second gear and the car just started wheel hopping really bad at about 20 mph and came to a stop. I could inch it up slowly in first gear to get to a side street but the wheels would just hop and then lock up. I dont know if this matters but i have a Quaife LSD.

Any ideas what happened? and if the transmission is fixable

Did you check your axels? You could have broken one, or maybe it just popped out.

it could be lots of things bro, LSD, tranny, even a wheel bearing nut that has sprung some how, dont get to stressed just take a lil time and peek around, like chrish said check axel even thing about your clutch my friend, say like the throw out bearing.

Sounds like the diff. to me, but take your time and check everything out once its in the air.
