This is a 91 Eagle Talon TSi front wheel drive. It has a few dents on the roof, hood, driver's front fender, and driver's quarter panel right in front of the rear tire. The driver's side headlight does not pop up. Seats have no tears in them. The passenger side window rolls up, but very slowly. The driver's side window will not roll up on its own, you have to help it. The power rearview mirrors work, but the control buttons for them fell into the door, so they are manual mirrors until you get the control out. The rear defrost works, but not very well. The car runs strong even though it has almost 206,000 miles. Recently, after driving the car for around half an hour, it started running very badly with something clicking a lot right behind where the radio should go. As soon as i pushed in the clutch, it died. I tried starting it but it wouldn't. After a few minutes of sitting on the side of the road, something clicked under the dash, then the car would start and run fine for about 15 minutes. Then it happens again. I think the MPI relay right in front of the ECU is bad, causing the injectors to shut off after the relay gets hot. Compression test reads #1-145 #2-152 #3-142 #4-148. When i get floor it, it pushes the oil dipstick out a little. The car has no radio in it. I have put 14,000 miles on the car in the year that I have owned it. I have installed a new ECU, the 5 spd transmission has 94,000 miles on it. The tranny shifts great with minimal grinding going into 1st gear after i back up. Very rarely will it grind 1-2 shift. The clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, and clutch slave cylinder only have about 5k miles on them. The two new front tires have around 10K miles on them, the right rear tire has maybe 1K miles on it, and i'm not sure of the left rear tire. I took a picture of the left rear tire because it is the worst of the set. I do not have a spare tire. I replaced the altenator around 7K miles ago, and the starter around 2K miles ago. I have new in the box, a timing belt, new lifters (to stop the ticking these cars are notorious for), new valve cover breather filter, and K&N air filter. These items will be included in the auction. The turbo spools great and builds and holds between 10-12psi at full throttle. There is NO shaftplay. The car is completely stock. The air conditioning works and blows ice cold. I have installed new accessory drive belts around 3K miles ago. I have a clean Louisiana title in hand and the car is inspected until January 2007. The car gets between 26-28 MPG.

Too many miles and little problems man. That sounds like it was cursed when he bought it. How much is it? I'd keep looking if I was you.

How much, if he says like $300, Id buy it, only just to rebuild that motor, it would be no good for modding, Id do a compression test of your own, but his #'s are low, and if your really set on it, id also do a leakdown test, whatever the tests turn up, compare those to the price and decide accordingly, but with that many miles, the results arent gonna be good.

sounds like a bunch of work thats not worth it... sorry but if it was me i would spend the money and get something better... take out a loan or something if you can

yeah. thanks guys. its that im only 16. and i have an 4g63 T sitting in my garage. and i have always wanted a purple car. ### i havent seen alot on here. and i think that modded and repainted would look sweet. i was thinking black wheels purple lip. but i just want to know if you would buy it. he wants like 500 for it. so i was thinking. if i take my car and part it out, would i be better off for the motor swap also? and does the door off of the 94 eclipse work on the this car?

In all honesty his reserve is probably alot higher than 300. See if you can get it for as cheap as possible. Looks like a good project car.

My opinions.. Too Many Miles.. You'll more than likely be replacing all of the suspension stuff, I'm sure the axles, hubs, and ball joints are jacked up on that car. This "When i get floor it, it pushes the oil dipstick out a little" scares me, but if you're replacing the engine I guess it wouldn't matter much. You have a TON of body work.. did you see the picture of the roof? It looks like someone dropped bricks on the roof from the top of a telephone pole. The door is totally bent on the drivers side. The car is definately trashed. It's definately going to need more than just an Engine. I wouldn't buy it, I would definately hold out for something else or fix up what you have now. If you want a purple car get yours painted it would be easier.

I would not buy it either. I did the same crap and now I'm thinking about selling my car after almost makin it new. I still need to work on it and spend well over $2k, but I might end up fixing it since I most likely wont buy a new car, which was my plan.

yeah. im now selling my car for 950 bucks with all of my stuff, and i found some guy who wants to trade me his 1990 civic hatch with k20B in it, it, the car i think he said may need a little bit of work, its just the trunk thats dented and needs work. umm. yeah. so i think im going to be trading him.
thanks for the stuff, if you guys want to buy my car though. i'de be happy to sell it to you. for 950 maybe a lil cheaper.
