right now i have the greddy small ic on my car.i have the evo16 turbo. i'm running 18psi now but want to run 20-22 on 94 octane gas. i was reading up on the greddy small ic and most of what i found was that it not good for anything over 18 psi. is there a ic core that i can buy that has the same inlet/outlet as my greddy so i can keep all the same ic pipes, just make them shorter, where it would meet the ic?i was checking out the Spearco 2-216 core.wondering if that would work. just wondering if you thought a bigger ic was worth the money?

If you have the money I would definately get a big intercooler. The only problems associated with a big intercooler is pressure drop. An evo 16G should be able to keep up with the size of the intercooler.

I've heard that too big of an intercooler will be bad because of the pressure drop, just like headrec* specified. Since you already have a big 16g i think that you would be able to go with an avg. sized fmic with no problem, especially since you're boostin 18lb's... if i were you I would check on ebay! since all you're looking for is the core, check them out on there and on the dsmtuner's classifieds, find out some dimensions and you'll be set!
