Is Apexi EGT probe good enough for street?

I have an Apexi EGT gauge and have found a good deal on the EGT probe/harness. Is this probe good enough for street use, or do I really need the TPE ,or TSE, or whatever probe? I hear it's better. Confusing, I know, but thanks.

Supposedly the TRE race probe is faster than other probes.
