is 3'' intercooler pipe ok??

i have a 16g turbo and from the outlet of the turbo to the inlet of the fmic is 3'' pipe and frome the outlet of the fmic to the throttle body it has 2.5'' pipe is this ok? i've kinda been having problems with the pipe blowing off even at really low boost..im working on fixing that now tho..

i would used 2.5 all the way from outlet to inlet 3" is too big

Use quality silicon connectors and t-bolt clamps to secure your piping, that should cure your problems blowing pipes out. As far as the piping diameter goes it should really be a huge deal, just know that you're giving up some spool time by having 3" piping that really isn't necessary. A 16g wont flow anywhere near enough to require more than 2.5" piping.

whch pipe is blowing off does the pipe have a flare on each end?

The size of the pipe won't cause them to blow off, bad couplers/bad clamps will cause the pipes to pop off.

Remember, increasing the diameter of the pipe increases the volume. Increaseing the volume between the turbo and the the throttle body will increase the amount of time it take for you to hit full boost. And a 16g will never out flow 2.5" diameter pipes.
