Hello everyone. I just picked up an 6-bolt 92 TSi AWD. Its got some goodies to it, but I'm pulling the motor this weekend and going through it.
Any pointers to things I should look for?
so far this is my list:
complete tune up
pull balance shafts
timing belt
timing belt idilers
timing belt tensioner
belts
pulling a underdrive pully and replacing it with OEM harmonic balancer
exhaust gasket (leaks)
some other general crap, but is there any key issues with these cars that I should look for...

, now the first thing you should do if your planning on modding is look at the tuning guide and make it your goal to get the stage 1 mods done, and you have a 6 bolt motor so thats good to hear. And before you do the tune-up you might wanna use seafoam before you change the oil, it'll help alot especially if your engine is high mileage. If you have any more questions just ask
