Internal transmission part missing!

so, i am currently working on the internals for the transmission on my 90 laser rs turbo (5 SPEED). during the process i snapped the OIL GUIDE (long plastic piece) that goes from the front of the bell-housing, to the rear of the bell-housing. Does anyone know where i can find this piece? OR if i even need it in the first place?

It's an oem piece. Want to clarify to the back of the bellhousing? You mean the end of the entire transmission case? If so this is the oil guide that provides oil to the needle bearings on the input shaft. Notice the plate on the end case where this guide fits and then feeds oil to the center of the shaft. They are not all the same. Different years have different guides because the 5th gear hub/sleeve is different diameter.

Forgot about that. 90s have two. Refresh my memory Tim. Not sure I ever knew what the 2nd smaller rail was for.

Pretty much more oil over to 5th gear.

you can order it at the dealer and u do need it to take oil out to the fifth gear

Tim, you actually talked to my father about this and ill be stopping by your shop today or this weekend i believe. The smaller part of the oil guide broke.

Can you show a picture of where this oil guide goes for future searches? I'm working on a 92 awd 5speed.

I have gone to the dealer and ordered many trans parts trying to fix mine and the trans was a 93 and they got me all the parts
