I have a question and I've been digging and can't find the definite answer. i/ understand the functions of a fuel pump be it external or internal however in comparison I don't know which one is better.

What is a better application for my GSX? An in tank fuel pump or external fuel pump? Why is said application better than the other in your opinion?

Now, if there is a thread i missed when I searched three times using different phrases each time then please don't slap my peepee. I actually did look for a solid twenty to twenty five minutes.

Thanks for the help.

I was thinking of running a fuel cell. However, it already has an intank pump. Not nearly enough flow for me ;)

Running an external inline pump with upgraded lines and filters under the car was an idea I entertained.

A good inline pump will outflow an intank pump. Looking at your mod list, an intank 190lph will be adequate for you.

I'm very cheap some call me a penny pincher. So I would only like to spend what I have to once. That being said I want to have something that will support me up to 450AWHP and that's a dream more than likely I'll be looking at 375AWHP and somewhere equal in the torque range. I am toying with the idea of the EVO III 16G however, I'm flirting with a lot of T3/T4 products I'm at a cross roads with myself with which way I'll go.

I just picked up a GReddy 24R in which I have to find piping for (I know that's going to be a headache) A K&N FIPK, I'm going with the 1G TB, with ported to match 2G elbow followed by a GM Blowthrough to BOV. I haven't purchased the air intake pipe yet as it'll depend on which turbo I go with. That being said which direction should I go? I like the benefit of one less thing in the engine bay with the in tank pump however, I also like the flow rate ox external in line fuel pump however, I don't think i'll need it.

My project car is a DD with the occasional "My wife and daughter are visiting family because I was in the field and got out early might as well go to the track and burn up some tires for the day and actually compete" I'm not interested in drag what-so-ever and I drive mostly in the mojave desert with steep climbs and twisting winding roads. <3

Gentlemen, your advise would be very helpful at this point and I do appreciate your replies.

Ladies, you're welcome to take a crack as well...

If you are going for all out performance. GO SIMPLE

1. Fabb'd Fuel Cell with SUMP
2. Proper sized line (-8, -10)
3. Magnafuel or Weldon inline pump
4. Inline Filter after the pump
5. Straight feed

Straight back for the return

It's not hard people.

Not for a 16g , LOL the OP will proabaly be fine with an intank walbro 190 or 255(you will need a fuel pressure regulator if you go with a 255)
