I dropped my tank last night thinking it needed to be cleaned out and could be re-installed. When I was pouring out the fuel, I noticed how brown and gross it all looked. When I replaced the fuel pump a while ago, the old fuel pump was caked with sediment and brown muck. So I know I have to clean out the tank and get all the rust and stuff out of it. Or... the other option. Is there a way to install the Walbro 255lph pump in a fuel cell and just extend the stock lines top attach to the fuel cell using barb AN fittings? So basically, the two lines coming back from the engine need to be extended to hit the fuel tank and the sending line needs to be extended to fit the drop in Walbro. And this will only work if I can use the drop in Walbro on a fuel cell. I tried searching for a while but could only find stuff with external pumps. If its not possible, I'll just stick to cleaning out the old tank. I'm not worried about mounting the cell or NHRA specs because I dont plan on racing the car. And I dont have a problem with opening my hatch to fill the tank. Thanks for anyones help in advanced.

1G FWD By the way!!!

I am in the same boat, my 90 Galant GSX's fuel tank is crap and I have a 255 in in it. After talking to my builder I am gonna spend a litle extra money get a JAZ Racing 16 gallon Fuel cell with a GM style 0-90ohm sending unit already installed. It comes with a fuel sump, 8an fittings and a vent line. Cost is only like $200. I am running an autometer GM style 0-90ohm fuel level gauge, and running an in line filter and pump. I know that this doesnt answer your question, and I bet theres probably a way to make it work with the 255. It really comes down to your power goals, the 255 can support decent power but if your wanting more than 400hp you may want to start thinking of an inline high flow unit if your doing a fuel cell. Good luck either way

Ok awesome. Thanks man. Yea, I'm only looking for about 300-350 right now. I mean it's a FWD, more then stock creates too much wheelspin as it is LOL. I found a radiator shop that cleans out the tank and puts a sealer inside of it for about $100. Not too bad. When I buy a AWD chassis, I'll probably switch to the same set-up you have then. Thanks a lot for the info.
