Hey guys,
I've got some pretty bad gouges on the panel that's on the left of where the passenger's feet go. I found a replacement online, and from the pics it looks like the same color, but it comes from a 1996 eclipse GS. My eclipse is a 1998 RS, with a grey and black interior. Is it possible the grey in the 1996 model is a different shade of grey then the one in my 1998?

Thanks!

The greys are all the same.
Interior kick panel colors were available in:
Tan (97+)
Grey
Brown (talon only)
Slate blue (95-96 only)
So if you see a grey one online, it should match. The only difference being some possible fading over the years or if it is one of those rare slate blue panels and was listed as grey by mistake.

This finally explains why I have a blue driver's seat. I'm partially color blind and didn't realize when I put the seats in one is gray/blue until later when someone pointed it out to me. I thought it was discoloration, but the quality of the "leatherette" is different as well, much softer and no cracking compared to the other seats. I often thought it was from an avenger. Thanks for the info!

Whaddya think? I got the seats out of a parts car and the drivers seat is definitely not the same gray as every other DSM ive seen, and it's much softer, buttery really, than most of these leatherette seats which are usually pretty stiff if they're not cracked. It's definitely not dye or paint, I was thinking a harsh cleaner mAy have stripped the color, but who knows

My first 96 had blue interior, although it was cloth. I haven't seen another with blue, since then (2005). The seat in that pic definitely looks different than most leather seats, and really resembles the black leather from 99 in design.

Here are some pics of my blue interior.
