Hey guys, I don't own a DSM. Yet.

I've been looking in to them though and finally found one that might convince me to leave my trans am behind. Could you guys help me out and tell me if anything in this add seems weird or otherwise sketchy. I really don't know much about turbo cars. Seems like a pretty decent deal.

95 eagle talon tsi for sale or TRADE

Too Expensive, for one.

.. and what caught me telling me either he doesn't know much about his car saying it has "450cc injectors" like its upgraded, when that is actually stock. or He is trying to fool the next guy, i.e maybe a guy like you who wouldn't catch that.

78xxx miles, axe if that is original or if it has been rebuilt. If original Id pay 45xx, and see if it has a clean title.

On another note, DSM's are good for making good power for the $$$.

If you do em right, than you shouldn't have much problems, my biggest mountain to overcome on any used one in the past is fixing previous owner issues who have no idear what they were doing and there are a lot of those out there.

Thanks for the advice, i asked him about the injectors and mileage.

he said "I had 850's in it but turned out 2 weren't good so they were the only ones i had to put back in it"

thats original miles. I'd deffinately talk him down though

Just going over the AD again,

says he has a fair amount of mods, but doesnt state what turbo he is running.??

what is he talking about to, when he says car is pushing 15bls of boost, is that what he has it set to for the daily drive.. that isnt much more than stock.. just makes me wonder if thats all the car can handle at the moment and it tells me that there isnt much mods on there than what he makes it out to be..

I noticed something: It's front wheel drive!

If you search around this site enough you will see numerous people wish they had gotten all wheel drive. Wait around until you find a great deal on a Eclipse GSX or Talon TSI AWD.

That doesn't pass the smell test. After putting all that money in mods and go back to stock injectors? You could end up being the only member here with a stand alone engine management system and 450 injectors.

15psi is the highest you want to go on a stock fuel system with the t25 Larger the turbo, the lower the number. A E316g will have an IDC% of 100%+ at 13psi.

The build seems good, does he have any paper work to go with everything? I'd find more info on the "stand alone", the miles on the rebuild and what other parts were used. What bearings, who built it, which ARP studs were used, 6 or 7 bolt block. Last timing belt change (need paper work for that), what maintenance record is like etc. etc.

Also, see if he's willing to allow a test drive and have a good shop do a buyers inspection on it if you are interested.
