intercooler any good??

i dont know if this has been asked yet but i did search.

i am looking to get a fmic and i dont want to spend an arm and a leg. i was looking through the classifieds and saw that "clubmitsubishi.com" has a 2g frontmount with piping [long route] for 550. does anybody have experience with this fmic, flow numbers anything like that. it says it has a core measuring 25x7.75x2.75, and it has 12 rows for cooling. can somebody please give some feedback. thanks.

Well if you are looking for a core around that size, I'd check out the JRC cores. They are $235 shipped for like 31x7.5x2.75 and everyone that has had them love'em. Most people are walking away with a FMIC for like 300-350 with all the piping. Check out the thread and see if it'll work for you.

Actually, the intercoolers from clubmitsubishi.com ARE JR intercoolers.

JR intercoolers are different than JRC intercoolers, but either way you figure the IC costs you about $230ish wherever you go. So in order for the $550 package to be worth it, you'd have to spend more than $320 on intercooler piping alone. I did a short route setup on my car using 2 u-bends and a straight pipe from Magnum Force for a total cost of about $60 shipped.
