2G Intake and TB upgrade

Trying to figure out what exactly i'm potentially gaining if i buy a JNC intake manifold with sn90 TB? Does this gain me anything if i have not swapped out cams?

On a 20g turbo I doubt you'd notice any difference. The most I'd do is go to an Evo 2/3/RVR intake manifold and 1g TB, that was more than enough for my car to run mid 9's. S90 throttle bodies have a pretty good reputation of leaking as well.

You'll lose some response and torque with the new setup, but it's at a level where the stock intake manifold isn't very restrictive and likely has enough plenum volume to keep up. Without cams, I'd bet the car is slower.

I maxed a 37r at over 50psi boost on a stock manifold and stock TB and stock TB elbow. Don't feel the need to swap out parts just because 'they're not stock so must be better; the TB is bigger so must be better'. That mentality is how people end up with broken cars that idle like shit and then more parts are thrown at it until giving up. I've seen it 1000 times. Stock stuff is really great.
