Hi,

I just replaced the intake pipe, the one from the side intercooler to the intake, also replaced the blowoff, with a greedy type s one. After testing the car it charges but i feel it is not releasing, also the sound while charging sounds weir, it sounds like a whisltle.

I have almost no knolegde in mechanic. Yes and the job was made by myself.

So you replaced the upper intercooler pipe and added the type s? I think thats what you are saying. Did you remember the vacum line to the bov? If so, what port did you attach it to on the type s?

Sound like something is wrong. Tell us how you hooked up the BOV and pics would help as well. You should have hooked up the top nipple on the BOV to your intake manifold after. The bottom port should be left open to the atmoshpere.
Here a link to help you check it out and make sure it's been done right.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, i will post a pic. I also would like to note that the car now seems it's rev up slower especially on third.

oh noes. sounds like a boost leak. especially once you said it feels slower, its probably not making the same amount of boost now that its all leaving the intake tract.

visit the vfaq.com on how to make a boost leak tester. its basically a coupler with a PVC endcap, a valve stem from a tire, drill a hole in the endcap, insert valve stem, put on coupler.

Here's the Pic

Do you have a boost gauge? Are you building any boost or is it building slowly? I agree that it sounds like you have a boost leak.

Ya, greddy gaskets are known to leak from time to time, just like any other gasket.

No, i only have the factory gauge. it builds up fast, but the rev don't. I'll work on the car this saturday to see if i found some. thanks for you replys.

THe problem is so far the blowoff is leaking!!!! anyway to fix this with out welding?

If you have found the leak at the gasket at the base of the bov, remove the bov and coat both side of the gasket with some gasket maker and reinstall it. Dont go crazy with it, just alittle to help seal the leak.
