I pay $76 per month.

This is for full coverage on my 97 GSX and liability on my 92 Honda Prelude.

I'm insured through ANPAC - American National Property And Casualty

Though I guess it also depends where you live.

When I was 19 I was paying over 200 a month but that was for full coverage on a 3000GT twin-turbo.

Harace Mann. I knew I was getting ripped off. This sucks.

I am trying to find quotes but I don't know all these insurance terms and lingo at all. I don't know if I'm getting a quote for a year, or 6 months : liability or full coverage, I just don't know. Who can I see or what can I do to get lower rates?

Wow I never paid more than $200/month for full coverage even after having an accident involving another car and about $4k in damages that was ruled my fault. Currently I'm at that rate for both the Evo and the Eclipse, full coverage on the Evo obviously and just liability on the eclipse. Oh and that's in Jersey, it's definetly time you found a new company

Did you tell them the car is Turbo?

I paid 270 / month on my 97 gsx when i was 17 and my dad was the "main" driver of the car.

Insurance companies can tell if you have a turbo model car by looking at the VIN number.

I have State Farm and pay $74 a month for full coverage. 29 M.

i pay 115 a month for my car and thats full coverage, on my parent policy and im 22, with 1 speeding ticket. but if u havce some questions i can try and help as some things are universal like coverage amount and deductibles, because i am actually an licensed insruance agent in IL

No they do not know about any of the modifications to my car. In actuality the car around 9-10k in it, but they don't know about any of that.

I want to switch insurance companies but I'm afraid they will charge me more under my own name.

Corey- Who do you insure with?

If anyone can give me estimates of what I should be paying that'd be great. Just so I have some idea of what I'm looking at here. Here's some info that may help:

* Drive less then 10 miles to work, and school altogether.
* Full-time student
*Living at home
* Not married
* ZERO tickets in my 4 years of driving
* Hold a B average
* Car cost $3,000

I was hoping to dodge these rates by buying the non-turbo, but at this point I'm getting bent over. Any help would be great, guys. Thanks again for all the replies. Please continue to list your monthly payments AND the company you're with... :thumb: :thumb:

yea dude ## totaly getting raw dogged up tha ass. u should be only payin like maybe 100 a month if that for liabilty. im tellim u i wuld aske ## parents to see a copy of ## declorations page and it shuld give u a break down on how much ## it cost for ## car in total for either 6months or a year. especially being that ## on ## parents policy it should be hella cheaper. trust me thats why im on my parents policy casue i got a speeding ticeket and accident so its cheaper. i would also chevk ## coverage amount to see ## limits of liability, bodily injury and property damage. that all plays a key roll too. but something just dont seem right. if u want pm me and i will ge into some more detail about it if u would like

LOL, what did you just say?

Anyways to the OP, you won't know anything for sure from the forums.
Best thing to do would be to go to every insurance company in your area, and get a quote and go from there.

sorry i was short cuttin my typing casue im at work:D . if u put "your" in place of all the "##" it might make some sense hehehe:thumb:

joe:dsm:

but yea i would def check around your area, but i would first double check your coverages that u have now so u can compair your quotes better.

I'm paying $65/month for PLPD in Michigan, no tickets, 21 year old student :( . I can't wait till the end of the year when i get another job and get full coverage (especially since BOTH of my doors were hit in the last year... idiots).

54$ liability on my 96 gsx....

WAS

255$ for full coverage, this being under my 40 year old dad... I don't even want to know what it would be for a 18 year old punk in high school.

Corey- Who do you insure with?

GMAC, but apparently you need to be part of certain organizations to get from them. I've only got it through my parents b/c my dad is ex-military. Oh and I don't drive the Evo :sneaky: :shhh: It's a pleasure vehicle for my mother ROFL

Have a child.
No tickets in over 5 years.
Am older than yourself.
My wife's total daily commute is about 70 miles.
My total daily commute is about 8 miles.
Multi-line discount. (House is insured with same company.)
No at-fault claims.
No lapses.
Maybe more stuff, I don't remember.

Would probably be less, but my wife has a habit of having her vehicles tossed around in the air, or tangled up underneath moving 5th-wheel trailers.

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, BTW.

Definitely call around and get some quotes, Blitz, thats ridiculous. I have never paid that much.
