Trying to install this puppy to complete my e85 setup and im extremely confused at this point .

Did you see two places under the seat with covers remove the other and you should find the pump, its the one on the left. What you have in your hand is the sending unit for fuel gauge or as Mitsu calls it the gauge unit.
