Altezza headlights? You mean projector beam headlights? Who is the manufacturer of those things you have there, maybe we'll be able to find something from that.

JDM? They dont have Eclipse's in Japan. And the euro headlights are the same as here.

i hate the fact that altezza, jdm, and euro have become synonymous with the word rice.. not in this case, i love those projector headlights, but in general...

Thank Honda owners for that. I have yet to speak to one who's every other word isnt "JDM."

I like em ok, but I prefer the stock 2g ones with the black housings, like mine. :D

ok i just wired mine. i cut off the 1 piece harness that was in the old housings, and hard wired that into the ones that came with the new ones. the black is ground, red goes to red, and blue goes to green i think. not too hard.

i love my projectors, you got yours off ebay right? i wired the halo lights to the same place i wired my guages, one of the green and white wires under the dash that come on when you turn the lights on. the halos come on with the parking lights too. i love it.

aghh stock intake

but after looking at the lights, and seeing the bumper off I guess your putting a aftermarket front clip on the car, is it designed for the 97-99 style lights?? I just seen the projector you are putting in has a greater taper on the inside of of the light (the area that meets the nose on the bumper, I dont know the technical name sorry) where if you look at the stock 95 lights youjust pulled of the lights acutally are rounder, just want to make sure you dont have a serious allignment issue on the body kit. But it will atleast fit, if you had 95 lights on a 97 bumper it would not fit at all. Just thought I would mention it. how is it all going?

Are projector headlights any good on 2g's? Iv heard that they do not give out good light. My firend has ones on his civic(280hp) and they suck. When he turms them on you can barly notice they are on. is it better with eclipses?

Thanks with the quick reply, i guess ill just stick a multimeter up to the wiring, cut the wires, and hard wire where needed. and i am keeping my stock front bumper. just adding to it later on.

secondly, what do you guys think about molding over my sunroof? i dont want it.

looking at your wish list is says roof scoop. Well that just adds to wind drag. if you dont want the sun roof, you will have to get a non S/R head liner and go thru and remove everything. then find a body shop to patch up the hole. But being I know nothing about cosmetics since the clear coat on my car is half way missing I just care about speed. Just to let you know the projectors you have and the stock 95 bumper is going to leave a small gap to the inside of each light since the projectors are based off of a 97-99 design and I also think they are just a tad but shorter height wise (I think, so dont hold me to that last one, but they are for sure skinnier) . So it will look a little funny. Just to give you a heads up.

You were right on the "money!", gap, skinnier, everything, my car is dark, so you really cant notice it, but thanks for the heads up, my wiring is still very wrong still thoug. I ended up just cutting all the wires putting quick connects on them, and i just keep wiring them different till the ####ing things work right. Just one black wire is throughing me off.

cut the plugs that came with the projectors off. these will get discarded. now you are gonna hard wire those plugs into the old harness from the old units. cut the 3 wire harness from the old lights off, as that will be used with the new ones. now its just a matter of splicing and wiring.

the black wires are grounds.

the green wire from the factory harness goes into the blue wire for the high beams.

the red wire from the factory harness goes into the red wire for the low beams.

wire the 2 grounds from the lights into the 1 ground wire from the harness.

put it all together and see how it looks.

now wire the red halo lights(the really thin wires) to a lighting source that comes on with the parking/headlights. i used the same place i used for my guages, one of the interior light bulbs(cigarette light bulb to be exact). run the + halo lead(red) through the firewall(or the boot for the steering shaft, its easier than drilling a dam hole) and wire this into the green/yellow wire from the cigarette lighter light. you will have to remove the console for this step. its rather easy, 6 bolts(2 tricky ones under the ashtry/cupholder piece, pull off that piece to access the screws), take that out and wire.

heres a little diagram of my work, of course, i have it all tucked away and wrapped as to not be seen.

hey man thanks for the awsome reply, one problem, my stock harness two red and one black, secondly, now anytime my car is off (lights on) blinkers dont even respond, but when car is on (lights on) the blinkers, dont blink, just stay on, and sometimes they feel like blinking in series, left left right, left left right, and vise versa, somethings defenently wrong with this.

Okay I have the exact same headlights as you. Before you go cutting wires just break open the old headlights and get the harness out of them. then just check which wires in the corner lights are the ones you got to hook up the halo's. Already done it completely with the exact same headlights. hope this helped if you need anymore help just hit me up with an Email at [email protected]. Later.

Actually there were a few thousand 2Gs sold in Japan (imported). I see them very often around here, although they don't have any badging. The 2Gs I've seen are all turbos with one 97+ convertible as well.

Hey sorry for bringing this back from the dead, just wondering how the original poster likes his lights, I was going to buy a set of those off of ebay as I like the way they look, but I want to make sure he first of all got them hooked up okay, and then if he likes how they look...thanks.. :dsm:

Hey everybody, i need a little help i just bought my girlfriend projector headlights for her 96 GST and well the headlights have 2 connectors on them and there's only 1 connector on the old headlights, so how do i make the projectors work, any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Do not go crazy and try to hardwire them in. The only thing you have to do is get the wiring harness out of the old headlights. That means you are going to have to get some old broken headlights or just break open yours. Get the harness out then the two from the projectors plug into the two for the other headlights. To wire the halo's just wire them into the blinkers. I will tell you more but I am already late for work. Later

I agree. I don't want to bash on this but, this has been talked about before on how to install projectors, from the APC projectors to the projectors with halos that are "JDM GEN3". Any how if its to hard to understand the up above quote. Then you probably shouldn't bother with installing them.
