Are the 95 GST front brakes considered a big brake upgrade for my 1990 Talon AWD? Or would I need 92-94 AWD Calipers to relaly go up to the bigger setup (dual piston)?

I ask because the guy selling them swears its the "Big Brake" caliper... yet when i go out to shop for rotors I see 90-99 FWD rotors and I see 90-92(prior to 06/02) AWD and 92-99(after 06/02) versions of the rotors... which leads me to believe that the calipers arent the ones I need.

everything will bolt up fine but the brake line fittings on the 2G calipers are different than the 1G's. You can either try to mate a 2G lower hose fitting to the caliper to a 1G fitting from the hard line which I don't recommend or you can just go out and find a set of calipers from a 93-94.

oh and the rotors are the same size from 93-99

I did some research on this and your best bet is to get 93-94 Dual Piston Calipers with larger rotors, pads and lines. I know that will work on your car. The 2G's have banjo fittings on the calipers. There is also a write-up on vfaq.com.
