Ok guys. I have all of my gaskets and parts to install my new exhaust manifold and external waste gate onto my Talon and the last step i have is keeping me at a standstill.
When you run an external waste gate off of your manifold (mine is a SBR) which will be dumping into the atmosphere, i see everyone welding the flapper door shut on their 16g. Is this the only way to set it up? I brought it to my buddy's exhaust shop and they said they could not weld that flapper door shut.
I was thinking i could just put my internal wg and arm back on the turbo and leave the vacuum disconnected on it so that it would keep the flapper shut.
If there is a tip/trick to welding this let me know, or if somone has used the old arm to keep it shut speak up!!
