i have a friend with a 16g (no shaft play, flapper welded), manifold with tial 38mm wastegate, and a downpipe. he wants $500 on the package. is it a good deal and safe to get like 320-350hp with 560cc injectors and 255 pump. and will it help with boost creep to have the wg external.

or should i just get the 16g new and keep it internal. any thoughts.

If it's a NON EBAY 16g yes that's a good deal, especially if you can expect it firsthand.

With those injectors and fuel pump you'll definitely need something to tune and a wideband, and optional but highly recommended would be an aftermarket FPR.

i have the wally 255, safc, and palm emmulator on my laptop. just need injectors. a friend has a wideband for me to tune with. its a MHI big 16g btw. :hellyeah:

and is the fpr necessary at like 17-18 psi. i know for bigger hp like th 320+ i will likely need one.

560cc injectors would be just fine, but a set of 650cc's would be nice for extra insurance and room for improvement.

FRP is highly recommended because you're gonna be hammering the stock FPR with pressure it wasn't intended to take.

Your gamble, pesonally it's idiotic to me to spend a lot of money on a motorsetup and skip over a 100$ something part that has the chance of taking a poop on you.

It's insurance, plus they are adjustable so it will always be ready for a bigger application in the future.

sounds good on the afpr i will get one. i will debate on the injectoers tho as 650's are like 100 more than used evo 560's and i heard it was hard to tune with afc on anything above 550-560cc.

I hate my internal WG so f_cking bad! Yes, get the external WG. I am changing mine to an external WG before next season starts. My boost is so unstable. I log my GM 3bar thru DSMLink and it fluctuates 3-4 psi thru the whole rpm range. 23, 27, 22, 24, 21, 25, 28 WTF! All I want to do is run a stable 25-26 psi. Ok maybe 28 :D

Look around on ebay, classifieds ( a guy was selling 1000cc injectors and AFPR for 300 on here) and the vendors like Extremepsi, Map Performance.

I was planning on not running a AFPR for a little while but with nightmares of washing out bearings from running so rich I sucked it up and bought a fuel lab kit from extremepsi and my camber kit with next day shipping for $323.

Its better to be safe and purchase the kit for 209 or around that instead of building a new motor cause you washed your bearings out.

BTW SAFC will have a hard time controlling anything bigger than 650cc injectors I got my 750's for 200 brand new off the classifieds!

Keep your eyes open there is a deal everywere!

Go for the External wastegate. If your gonna be using the safc like said before dont go any higher then 650cc you will have a hardtime tuning. Are those 560's evo injectors? They probably are i wouldn't use them reason is why ive used them and had a hard time tuning them in, plus ive heard from others they didn't work out. Depending on how much boost you want to run, id say get some RC 550's or some
650's so you can up boost. Get you a fuel lab or aeromotive fpr don't go cheap.

Im the guy with the turbo. LOL. I love the way it controlled boost. Unforntuealy i was over running the spring i have in the Tial but that can be easily changed. I only want 600 for the manifold, E316G turbo, Tial wastegate, and the o2 housing. Plus i will throw in the ARP bolts for the manifold and the j pipe and manual controller too.

Now thats the hookup. Make sure he finishes the job right.

sup james i figuered you would find this LOL. well i will eventually take the set up. lmk when its off the car.

aeromotive fpr's attract my attention so thats what i will ###### get and some pretty 650's and i will be set. thanks for the heads up guys and pm me james if you wanna talk, jeremy

Ive got an A1000. They are quality peices.

On the 650's.. if you can get some 550s or the like really cheap dont hold out.. especially if you arent going to upgrade fast.

Good call on gettin that fpr though!

I had my 16g at 18psi with 510's and a 255 and the car ran awesome with that setup, I'm selling the 510's now if you want them PM me.

About that tial, what springs are in it? If you go to the tial website, there are either 6 or 8 different springs you can get, and you can pair up 2 springs to set it for higher boost. But to buy each spring seperately they are around $40 a piece.
