Hi everyone, I can't seem to figure out how to install an HID kit into my 1997 mitsubishi eclipse gsx "spider" protector headlights.

Also, If you guys can help me instal an HID kit into the OEM 97 eclipse gsx FOG lights.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated :) I'm driving around with no head or fog lights. ( not at night ) LOL

So... again, any help would be MUCH appreciated fellow DSMers.

Your going to need to get the stock bulbs out obviously and put the hid ones in there.

The hid kits are plug and play. Connect one end to the bulb and the other to the engine harness. No splicing or cutting. Same applies to the fogs.
The thing is, the new headlights do not have that plug that goes into the cars plug, so it looks like I am going start splicing

Also, post a picture of the hid bulb base that came with the kit. The Spyder headlights use a different bulb base than the stock headlights.

Use led's in your fog lights. Good luck finding a hid that would fit. Here are the led's that I used. Mine are yellow but you can find white if that's what you want. The key is finding what will fit. The last picture in the Amazon ad shows the dimensions. No matter what color you get, don't get bulbs any larger, they won't fit.

So the yellow fog light bulbs are just plug and play, im assuming right? Thanks for the help again

That's good, they fit. Like I mentioned in your other thread, you're going to have to use the wiring out of your stock headlights. Once you get that wiring out it becomes really easy.

Ok, noah, it's about 9pm right now, so tomorrow bright and early , is it cool if I message you if I run into any problems? Don't want to be a bother

Are these pictures accurate on the brightness of the bulbs?
Look at the link to your other thread, I posted a picture of them on my car. That'll give you a better idea. No problem asking me any questions tomorrow. Get the high and low beam wiring out of your stock headlights and then get back to me. That's the hardest part. :thumb:

Ok, I just set it up and the low beam works now, this is my set up. how do i go about turning on the high beam?
There is also the black and red wirebfrom the OEM headlights , what do i do with that one?

Yep, wiring is correct. You will use your old high beam bulb and the plug with the red and black wires on the wiring harness you pulled out of your old headlights should plug directly into it.
