got a set in mine they are decent but H1 would only be if you had projector headlights.

oh, gotcha...nebody ever ordered from ddm? i wanted to support our vendors...really but his price was like 33 dollars more and they are the exact same kit...so i had to go with ddm unfortunately =\ anyways wondering how long DDM tkes to Ship

It's a false sense of an upgrade. This is due to more [scattered] light in the immediate frontal area, but nothing going for you distance wise. This is due to the HID projector vs reflector housing designs being completely different concepts.

It's a good way to piss people off and get the cops attention. And no this isn't the cool rebel piss people off kinda thing. This is literally temporary blindness for some drivers. I'm not trying to be a dick but it's really a problem on the road. Hence why it's usually illegal and wayyyy not DOT approved.

70% people here don't actually realize this so research outside of this website.

Example,
Thinking of converting to HID?

I was patiently awaiting a response whether or not they planned on using the right housing, before I started flaming ;)

Here is another article for you kids:

I have bought two kits from ddmtuning and various led bulbs, there shipping depending on which one you choose typically takes about a week or so. They have really high quality stuff for the price and their lifetime warranty truly is a lifetime warranty. They are really easy to deal with stuff like that.

I had both kits on my truck for about two years but removed them since I finally got my factory fog lights (instead of te aftermarket ones i was using) and didn't want to cut the glare sheild inside if it.

Of course some vehicles halogen headlights are worse than others, my truck actually had a decent light pattern and wasn't as blinding as others. It also helps to adjust your headlights accordingly. Now that my truck will be my daily driver soon, that was also part of my reasoning to remove te hids.

This is completely, 100% incorrect. Especially in a truck. :ohdamn:

"It's tricky to judge headlamp beam performance without a lot of knowledge, a lot of training and a lot of special equipment, because subjective perceptions are very misleading. Having a lot of strong light in the foreground, that is on the road close to the car and out to the sides, is very comforting and reliably produces a strong impression of "good headlights". The problem is that not only is foreground lighting of decidedly secondary importance when travelling much above 30 mph, but having a very strong pool of light close to the car causes your pupils to close down, worsening your distance vision...all the while giving you this false sense of security. This is to say nothing of the massive amounts of glare to other road users and backdazzle to you, the driver, that results from these bulbs."

My truck sits lower than my talon so it's not even close to stock height, that's the main reason I had hids in it in the first place, they are not even installed anymore). I am not saying that there are halogen housings out there that do just fine with hids, I was simply saying that some accommodate the light a bit better than others aka not lighting up the sky, trees and road. There are many vehicles out there that successfully pull that off.

But this all from personal experience in no way do I consider myself an expert nor do I have training in automotive lighting.

But, what we're saying is - by inherent design - it is impossible for halogen reflector housings to be good at being HID. You just scatter blue light everywhere instead of down the road in your lane.

I agree with all the anti-posts.

I had a DDMTuning 5k 35w kit for my lows for about a month and I absolutely hated them. They weren't the right color and they had hot spots of light and actually performed worse than a el-cheapo halogen buld in the same housing. I've never really been happy with a bulb-n-ballast kit so for my next trick I'll be modding in some TRS projectors.

Do it right, do it once.
