Do you prefer installing engine and transaxle separately or joined together? It seems that lifting trans up to mounted engine and aligning input through clutch is quite a chore. If mounted together is there enough room with all the wires, controls, hanging around there? It is for Galant VR4 but others must be quite similar in procedure and room. Transfer should be easy.

I always pulled them out together. Tried replacing a clutch with the engine left in once, and ended up smashing some fingers due to the trans sliding off its jack. Removing both together may be a bit more work, but for me it always ended up going faster with less headaches.
