Hey, I have my axle out of the transmission because I did a clutch job, however, is it possible to put the axle back in, without removing it from the hub, the hub (axle) bolt is rested into one solid bolt on the axle and I can not get it removed. The car is a 5 speed GSX.

You might be able to get it worked back into the tranny without removing it but if not, there is a little more work involved.

Try to break the upper ball joint and tie rod end loose from the knucke and that will probably give you enough slack to get the axle back into the tranny. If not, you might also have to remove the knuckle from the lower a arm and lateral link. Then it will be a totally free unit and then you can get it back together.

I never remove the axles, I simply loosen up the shock from the wheel hub. This allows for more than enough room to move the axle around to get the spline back into the tranny.

no need to break loose any ball joints.
remove the 1 bolt that bolt that holds the lateral arm to the body ( the straight arm not the curved one )
this will allow everything to swing out - (knuckle,rotor,rim/tire)
its a 2 person job tho'
