Installing AWD exhaust on FWD

Hey ya'll....did some searching and found some info, but not enough specifics.

I would like to install a 3" turbo back exhaust on my car, I can get a great deal on a AWD version since the place has it in stock. The question is, what if anything do I have to do to make this exhaust fit on my car? What is the difference between a FWD exhaust and an AWD exhaust? ALSO, if you notice <----, I drive a Spyder...and have been thinking (dreaming) of doing the AWD conversion. BUT, not right now, maybe down the road next year. Soooo, I want to do the exhaust once...and by now using a AWD exhaust, I wont have to change that when I do convert to AWD. Thanks in advance for replying

Well the AWD exhaust goes under the axle with the FWD goes over it and id imagine the AWD makes room for the transfer case and such that the FWD does not have. I compared my exhaust to a 1st gen FWD and mine seemed so much simpiler than all the bends in the FWD.

AWD exhaust's are almost dead straight with like 1 bend, FWD exhuats have mnay bends, I doubt it will fit.

The gas tank is in front of the rear axle on a FWD, while it's behind it on an AWD so that it will be out of the way of the driveshaft. An AWD exhaust will not not on a FWD. You could make it work, but it would pointless. Much cheaper to just get a custom exhaust done.
