installing a megasquirt on a 420a

hey sorry if im changing the subject but what can a megasquirt can do for a 420a n/t?
also can this fit the 95 eclipse?
 
Megasquirt is a stand alone. Meaning it runs seperate from the ECU so I don't understand why you need to mess with pinouts and such. Since you probably will still use the ECU to control some accessories you only need to unplug the wires you aren't using.

Maybe I'm wrong though haven't installed on a 420a yet.

You could probably use MsnS and maybe get a little better gas mileage. If you were running 12:1 comp and cam's it would probably be beneficial / necessary for you to have it.
 
Bullett says MS is one of the best things he has done to his NA, and if I recall correctly, says it ought to be one of the first as well. The gains were that significant.
 
Thats correct Leave the ECU were its at and splice the wires after the plug. There are certain wires you splice and certain ones you cut. You can cut them all but then you will loose tach etc. But coil and injectors you cut bc you dont want the stock ECU to mess with them.
 
ok i have to v3 board, and i was looking at the ecu and the wiring harness for the megasquirt and there is only one wire labeled ing and i have to wires going to my coils, its a grey wire off the megasquirt harness, so do i cut both coil wires and jsut wire them to the ing wire?
 
ok im lost, the shielding ok explain, and as for the fast idle where is that at? and as for the iac i have 4 wires that are labeled iac pin 1 pin 2 pin 3 pin 4, and on the megasquirt its iac a and iac b? and what is the wire pin 36 for? and what do i do so the megasquirt control spark what wire is that? and the, some one please explain im really lost on this, other than that its hooked up
 
You cannot use the stock IAC with the MS1 for the 420a. Neither fast idle. Only with the MS2 Unless you install a bosch style IAC. That is the trickest part to tune. Is getting your car to idle with no idle control esp. cold start and warm-up.

ok i have ms2 pcb v3 not ms1 if you would of read, if your not going to answer my question stop posting, all you are doing is confusing me more and more.
