420a megasquirt no start

engine atemps to start but die rightaway Iam currently using sytech base tune. need help please

Want to post a msq so we can check out your settings. Are you sure you have it set as wasted spark?

You will need to follow the manual to get the engine started and idling. Make sure engouh air is getting into the engine to keep it idling. You might have bypassed the original idle contollers so you may need to adjust the idle screw to open the TB butterfly.

When you know engough air is getting in and it still dies then you need to change settings on required fuel or after start enrichment. The manual is good about walking you through the correct steps so you don't adjust the wrong one first and go in circles.

The 420a does not have a idle screw. But yes make sure you are getting enough air. You could check out the forums on www.msextra.com for help to. Are you sure your req fuel is setup right? Did you wire your fuel pump thru the MS? If so do you here it prime?

One problem I had was the warm up enrichment was set to like 60% which was taking so much fuel away from the motor it would not run after the cranking PW ran out. Just something else to check.
