I finally got around installing Denso 720cc injectors, FMIC, and AFPR. Two most time consuming tasks were (1) finding place to install AFPR and (2) Trimming and fitting the bumper
After the installation, I set TPSVolt to 63 v. and ISCPosition to around 30. I then followed the initial setup and idle tuning demos on ECMLink website. By the way, I'm currently running DSMLink v 2.5.
Everything went well, I set the global to -37.5%. At idle, the rpm was set to 750, AirFlowPerRev was between 0.23 - 0.27, and CombineFT was around 1-3 % according to the video demos. I also saw that I no longer have a knock issue (at high rpm) and max out injectors.
I have four questions though.
1. I adjusted base pressure to 42.6. I did both (1) when the car is off, using DSMLink to turn on fuel pump and (2) at idle, unhooking a vacuum line and plugging it. I checked it with the car off, turning the pump on with DSMLink, the base pressure is correct at 42.6. But when the car is idling, fuel pressure gauge read about 5 psi lower than what it was set. Is it common or did I do something wrong?
2. When watching the demo, I saw that, in the video, air fuel ration is aroudn 14.5:1. However, mine AFRatioEst showed ~17:1. Why mine was way up that high? How can I lower this number to be right around 14:1 like in the video?
(See attachment for my log)
3. At this point, is it okay to drive a car? Would it hurt the engine or would it be okay as long as I'm not doing WOT?
4. What else I should do next as far as the tuning goes? Any advice on how to do street tune? I know that I probably need to get it tuned by professional. But I am planning to get ECMLink V.3 and Wideband first, before I get a dyno tune.
Any advice will be really appreciated.
Thank you.
