I pulled off my blown 20g today and put on the bullseye vtrim. David from bullseye even stopped by my house to look my blown 20g over to see why it blew. He helped me out with some things and we talked while I was installing the kit. Great price, great service and pulls harder at 20 psi than my 20g at 24 psi. I am going to get to a dyno some time in the next few weeks to see what it is doing on pump. Bullseye hooked it up.

Dont the both flow 44lbs per minute. I dont see how it would feel faster, unless the ole wallet wants it too.

The vtrim flow 48lbs per minute. I will drive it around some more today and tell you whats up.

My buddy has the same turbo, and he gets 14-16psi right before 4000rpm, stock block, head, cams, intake manifold. in my opinion that is kinda late for only a 48lbs/min. turbo! another buddy of mine has a FP green with built head, stock 7 bolt, stock intake manifold, 264/272 cams and he gets 22-24psi by 4000rpm. and keep in mind that green has no tune on it. the cams are crower too so they spool later than any other cams! keep in mind.

i see all these posts on bullseye turbos and everyone seems to be spooling there turbos later than the competitions turbos of equal size.

Part of that problem is the adjustable actuator that neesd to be pretensioned. I adjusted my wastegate yesterday and it is alot better. I will let you all know how my spool is when I get a chance to get on it.

I believe the v-trim is a .60a/r with a P .58 a/r exhaust wheel. A friend of mine has a 50trim that STARTS spool at 3500 and hits full boost by 3900. Thats with a SFP mani, stock 7bolt, and external gate. Not that much different from myself on an internal gate and stock 6bolt. Even ball bearing turbos only spool up a couple of hundred rpms sooner. Lag is to be expected on bigger turbos, but to debate competing turbos by only a couple hundred rpms is trivial to me....especially with everyones different setup/car. Doesn't really matter much to me when you're WOT anyway.

Yea, a lil bit laggier than the 20g but feels alot better in boost. Smoother transition into boost also. I dont care about the lag, I either drive really slow or really fast in my car but mostly really slow. Fitting it in there was pretty easy also. I am happy with it. I can run less boost than my 20g and make way more power. I had the tdo5h 20g though so it was a big difference anyway.

I've been keeping an eye on this turbo for a while. The price is very attractive but the lag is keeping me from getting one. My daily driver is an automatic and lag is an issue. I need something that has 400whp potential (on pump gas) and will give me full spool no later than 3500rpms. I think I might have to save up the extra $$ for an SBR-GT11.

We can build you one with the Stage 3 turbine wheel if you'd like for $30 more, this would be a great combination for an automatic.

We have a few Automatic customers running them and depending on mods it should spool 2-300 rpm's sooner with the smaller turbine.

Thanks for the info. I'll be in touch with you as soon as I get my fuel mods in a couple of weeks. Now let's get back on topic.

I took it on the highway and in 4th gear I started out at 3,000 rpm's and floored it. The boost was really slow coming on till about 3500 then it slowly climbed up to 21 psi at 3800-3900. I am going to check everything over in my car with a logger in the next couple of days. I think I might be able to get it to spool by 3600-3700 when I tune it better. I think I have a boost leak also. I will check all that in the next couple of days.

Well, While doing nothing but swapping the 2 turbo's I am noticing how much better the vtrim is. I am only running about 17-19 psi right now because of my cheap boost controller is being cracked out but between 17-19 psi, the car is faster than the 20g on 22-25 psi. A lot better. I cant wait till I get it tuned better and get the boost to 23 on pump gas.

Good idea, I'm sure it'll be helpful for both 1g and 2g owners (front mount clearances, etc etc). I've took some pictures for the writeup i'm doing for my site. I'm only 30% done with the writeup, but all the pics are done.

what turbine wheel do the regular t04b's come with that we have?

I always thought it was a stage3 already? Looks like it at least

If not, poop, LOL, i wouldnt mind the bigger wheel, LOL

So far they have all shipped with a 76-Trim turbine wheel. It can now be ordered with the Stage 3, if you so desire.

darn, LOL, next time i'll take an t3/04b with the h3 trim wheel and the stage 3 turbine wheel....that would be great :D
