This whole thread is absolutely pointless because nobody knows how high the compression is. It could be 9:1 or it could be 12:1. Without knowing the actual compression ratio then there is nothing left to discuss. Even if it was 12:1 thats nothing new, people have been running high compression turbo engines for years. Why dont you pull the head off and take some measurements and calcualte the compression ratio then come back and tell us what it is. Maybe then we can have a discussion on "high compression" turbo engines. If they are n/t pistons dont even bother coming back to post because we already know what the result is going to be.

man u try to act like you know what you are talking about, but if you knew anything aluminum can be heated and the bearing caps are heat treated in the head and they use heat treated aluminum for a lot of motocycle and bicycle frames and such.
 
I wonder if his profile is updated. With all his mods he's only runing 14's for the quarter mile.

This is nonsense...Where do you buy your pot?
Aluminum is heat treatable. T-6 The most common treatment to the most commonly used alloy 6061 means "solution heat treated and artificially aged."
BCC, FCC.. Is that like martensite, cementite, perlite or what phase are you trying to describe?

I take the whole thread with a grain of salt if he thinks a couple points in compression makes the same difference as 10+ pounds of boost.
